Got an old beat up JC Higgins Model 20 (High Standard 200) that I would like to fix up, but I'd like some ideas before I go spending money.

I would first like to 86 the 'skin' coloured recoil pad, as it does nothing to stop the hurtin from 12 ga. slugs. I was introduced to the idea of the limbsaver grind to fit recoil pad, but I was curious if any of their precision fit models would mate the stock of the jc higgins?

I'm technically inclined but lazy as !@#$ so I'd rather find a bolt on replacement that will keep me shooting longer then the ugly one on 'er now.

Another idea I was curious about was some sort of replacement tacticool stock for this model? I do like the beat up wood finish on this old one, so i'm not totally convinced I'd like to swap it out as of yet.

One last thing, I shoot exclusivly slugs (for nothing other then pure enjoyment) out of this 18 1/2" full choked barrel. It also has the vented top'ed barrel with a bead as a front sight. Are there any type of sights/scopes I could potentially mount atop the gun?

I don't think you will find a tactical stock for something that has been out of business for 20 or so years, so strip the finish, sand, stain and oil your present stock and make it look like a new military stock. As for sights, SIRMAILORDER.COM had some turkey front and rear sights that you clamp onto your rib on the barrel.
