SQ: Add a model 70 safety to a commercial mauser?

So I have a Parker-Hale 1100 (the African Magnum, in .375) I got from a fellow member, and it's a fantastic rifle, but with a low-mounted scope the factory safety is not usable. I'm thinking that a model 70 safety would be perfect, and would of course let me keep my scope. Is this retrofit something a 'smith can do? Does anyone make an aftermarket kit for this particular make and model? Thanks for your help!

Yep, you can get them from several outfits. I have had three installed on rifles by Bevan King and they work fine!

I don't know what the kit cost, however supply and install a Model 70 style safety added around $150 to the price of a barrelling job on a Mauser.

They always worked flawlessly.
