I'm just curious if anyone has one of these M16 look a like 22's?

If you do have one, what is it classed as? Non restricted or restricted?

What's it worth these days?

Thanks in advance.

Non restricted.
It is a standard SB Model 20 semi auto barrelled action accessorized with a cobbled together set of fixtures to make it vaguely resemble an AR.
Worth what someone will pay for a nothing special semi auto .22.

It was initially non-restricted, then reclassified by the idiotic powers-that-be as restricted, then de-classified. The reason it was originally reclassified as restricted was based on looks and nothing else. Freakin' incredible.
If you do a search on this subject, you'll find a few more threads on the rifle in question. I own a retractable-stocked version myself. ;)

Have kind of had 3 over the years.

The first was a plain Model 16, it was my first .22 that I didn't have to share with my brothers, lol, it was all mine.

Then when the restricted non-sense came out I bought a barrelled action for a model 2000 . It fit the old stock perfectly, and the trigger group matched up perfect too. Only now I have an H-Bar version .
I still have that one, but the old barrel has been gone for years.

I also had one of the retractable stock versions, but it didn't feed worth a crap, so I sold it to a guy I worked with.

From what I have heard I seem to have gotten the one that feed/functions well.

I think I swas one on the EE a few months ago for around $150-$200, but I may be wrong.
I am sure its not the only one though

Had one, non-restricted, it performed fine. A friend has had one for decades and I believe he's happy with it. They are no thing of beauty but are about average for cheap semi-auto 22's.

I have one. It's non-restricted. I think I paid $200 for it. I now realize that was a bit over priced for some but I thought it was a funky little rifle. I haven't had any problems with it so far. I also have a big bag of spare parts incase something breaks on it.

I bought one last week for $200 with 2 15 round mags, very good condition and registered as non-restricted. If it's anything like the last one I had (for 15 years) it should be able to eat thousands of rounds without a hiccup. Fun for plinking and a lot cheaper to feed than my AR15A2.

You "easterners" get all the deals! ;)

I got a Non restricted M-16R model. I had two of them and 4 mags but I traded one for a CZ52 pistol so now only one rifle and 3 mags.

The mags come in 10 or 15 rounds. All mine are 15 and are hard to come by. The 10 rounders are on Gunbroker all the time.
