I recently acquired this firearm, and am wondering what anyone can tell me about it. Any manual on how to disassemble would be fantastic, as well as where I might be able to find a magazine for it. It looks in pretty decent shape, but I want to take it apart and clean it before I try firing it.

Thanks!

The Squires Bingham 20P is made by Armscor in the Philipines. I believe it is the same model as the Rock Island Armory M20P which is also made by Armscor so mags for the RIA M20P should work in your SB 20P.

Mags can be sourced from Sporteque in Montreal..

Exploded parts diagram and replacement parts to help restore it if needed can be sourced from Numrich but shipping will be a killer, about $30-35.

I own the m1600 version. Exact same insides iirc.

In my experience, do not take it apart !!

There is a goofy procedure to get the trigger set again, and trigger parts are rare if something breaks.

All other parts can be found.

A manual is available but I didnt have a link ( on my phone atm )

(Didn't check for your specific manual but should be there)

I've owned a few of these gems (both 20's, and an m16R). Very similar to the current jw-14 by norinco. The trigger housing/mag well is robust the trigger itself is quite fragile.

There are many aspects similar to the Norinco JW-14. As for magazines, they pop in the EE every so often. I had run a WTB ad for magazines a couple of years ago, and got some replies for NIP mags so they are out there.

...any .22 semi rifle that cycles reliably is actually unusual. And I've never shot so many rounds in a row without jams as I did with my various past Squires Binghams.

Someone must have been pretty rough with their gun to break the trigger off like that. I had a few of them and nothing ever broke.

Dunno how it broke exactly, it came to me that way. I do suspect ham-fisted tinkering... I had never had to work on a 20 prior. I ended up not only finding a trigger for the original project, but fixing a 16R (too nice to just steal the trigger from), and building a complete 20 from leftover parts. The actual trigger is robust enough to sling tens of thousands of rounds. They are not designed for tinkers!

During the odyssey fixing the first project, I found quite a few other "parts guns" that required the very same part to be complete.
