Ha! We have a pure-bred English bulldog female - her name is "Ivy"; the neighbour's kids show up often enough with the "Boyz" - Jerry and Gordie - a couple of male farm dogs - Jerry is very elderly and crippled up - Gordie is much younger - apparently that pair is "hell on paws" regarding black bear or coyotes in the farm yard, back home. We noticed our dog and the Boyz need to trade a bark - as if to let the other know they are there - no fences between us - just bushes - much sniffing about for "P" mails, when going out for "dog business" - I am quite sure the bunch "had it out" at one time behind the gazebo, with no one was looking - the three dogs seem to be buddies now - all seem to know about exactly where their turf stops and the other's starts. When we let the bulldog go, often see the trio checking out bushes, etc. A few days ago, a feral cat was about 3 feet off the ground and stretched right out, crossing our yard - it must have started in neighbour's yard - we assumed one of the Boyz was involved - sure enough, the young fellow came across, in hot pursuit. Our Bulldog was just watching from the deck - nothing in her yard to do anything about ...

Seems plausible to me.

Fox keeps ####ting in my yard. Not sure if it’s what’s went after the outdoor cats. Both have had some serious wounds at different times. I’ve had pics of the cat and fox in close proximity, then the fox backing down. It checks the coops every 2-3 nights when it comes by. Lost 4-5 birds one night I forgot to close the coop. It’s going to eat a bullet sooner or later.
