Hey Guys,

So I went to my local dealer and picked up a Promag 50 rd drum mag for my SR. I was assured that it would work with my Butler Creek speed loader...well...it doesn't and I am not about to start and try to modify. I took it back and got the cash back with no problem.

So my question is: are there any 50 rd drums that WORK AS IS with the Butler Creek Speed loader?

I have a Black Dog drum and I can't see how a speed loader would help it. The spring is fairly stiff.

Just advance the drum around using the grooves on the back with one hand, while the other hand literally drops the rounds in 6 or 7 at a time.

Has anyone found a brand that is reliable yet? Everyone I've read about has some sort of feeding issue and ever one I've seen so far have plastic lips.

The new generation of Promag 50 rd drums have steel lips & a built in loader, they are the most reliable drum out there! We stock them, PM for details.
