With my Ruger SR-22 on its way here, I was wondering what type of ammo people are getting good results with from their 10/22's. Accuracy and least failures would be the 2 more biggest requirements I am worried about. I mostly got the rifle because it is cheaper to shoot than my .223's and 7.62's, but it will be nice for my GF to be able to blast away for next to nothing.

Thanks,
Jesse

Each rifle reacts differently to different ammo. What is really accurate in one, may be crap in yours.

Best thing you can do is buy 50 round boxes from a bunch of different manufacturers and even different lines from the same manufacturer.

Shoot 'em and see what ones your rifle like best.

this probably wont be a popular response but ive never had any problems with remington thunderbolts. they shoot fine and quite clean. only downside is the price seems to have doubled to around 30 a box/500

Tried out my 10/22 just the past weekend with some old PMC, first gen CCI Velocitor, CCI Stinger, Winchester Super X, Remington Yellow Jacket and Remington Viper. Used the Ruger rotary mag for them all with no feeding problems at all.

Stingers were actually the most accurate out of my 10/22. And with extremely positive ejection. Downside is that Stingers are getting hard to find and expensive relative to other choices.
