SR-22 muzzle brake

(Hopefully not an faq... I did search first before posting but didn't find an answer....)

I bought an SR-22 at Cabelas. I would like to remove the muzzle brake.

I remember reading somewhere that Canadian SR-22 muzzle brakes cannot be easily removed. ie, not threaded.

But now I can't find where I read that.

So before I go scratching everything all to h*ll, can someone tell me if the muzzle brake can be wound off, lefty-loosey fashion?

mine just twists off.(its threaded)

Just unscrew it. No issues. It's a flash hider, not a muzzle brake BTW.

I put an a2 style flash hider on mine ,just came right off

Yeah just remove it. It's 1/2x28 threads so it can take any 556 AR15 muzzle device you choose.
