I recently acquired a ranch hand in 44 mag, and happen to have a can of sr4756 laying about that I haven't needed for ages. I looked up loads for this in an old hornady manual, and it only lists loads for a 200gr bullet. any insight on using this cartridge and powder together on heavier projectiles? Id like to just use the powder I have rather than run down and buy a bunch of h110 or something, so experience using this would be appreciated. Im not looking to make barn burner loads either; Im thinking that a moderate 240gr cast would probably be the thing for me.
If I want to go heavy and fast I have a 45/70 for that.
