I picked up a small amount of SR 7625 gun powder and I can't find any load data nor even a manufacturer. Any info on this would most appreciated. Does anyone know of a current powder with the same burn rate?

It’s a shotgun/pistol powder made by IMR/DuPont.

It’s been discontinued since 2014.

If you get printed data from before the powder was discontinued you can probably find some good loads.

Or state what you’re trying to find data for, I’m sure some of us have archived data someplace, we could share out.

A replacement is easy, just use your googler!

What are you looking to load with it ?
I have some data for SR 7625 in .357, 38 Spl., .41 Mag., .45 ACP and .45 Colt in a 1970 Lyman Handbook #45, but nothing for shotgun.
.

I still a couple of lbs left. I have a load for my 12 ga that works excellent. I stocked up when I knew it was being discontinued. I have used it in pistol and cast loads for rifle. I have shotshell and pistol data if you want it. Benefits of buying older manuals.

Thank you all! With more research, I found it's a discontinued powder. I'm reloading for .45 ACP and I found load data for it as well as the nearest modern equivalent powder. I'll probably use up what I have and then source a good pistol powder going forward.

7625 is a good cast bullet powder. If you google the Lyman cast load book 3rd edition, you can find it online to download. That edition has a lot of SR 7625 loads for rifle and pistol.

The current online: Hodgdon Reloading Data Center lists load data for SR 7625 powder. May have what you're looking for.

SR 7625 is THE very best powder ever for low pressure smokeless loads in vintage black powder 12 gauge shotguns. No current powder can equal it for this usage and I diligently search for it at gun shows, buy it whenever I can find it. SR 4756 fills the same need in vintage 10 gauge guns.
