So watching my kid shoot Biathlon last week inspired me. I am thinking of making this a stand alone match. To incorporate in the matches I run for civilluans and the military.
It will be shot from the 300m all prone for simplicity. Rifle and 4x 5rnd mags stay on the line for safety and simplicity. 4x fig 12s on a 4ft left up for the duration, scored V54 as usual.
Shooters will gather to the right of the 300m mound and on go run to the 400, cross the range, back to the 300, to their firing point where they will load ready and fire 5 rounds at a target. Drop mag, drop rifle and run another lap. After four laps and the last target has been engaged the start line is the finish line. Time is recorded, then targets are scored, every point short of 100 adds a time penalty (I am thinking 10 to 20 seconds) fastest adjusted time wins.
Its only a 1.6-2km run and I see no reason to run it any gear at all.
