I think I may hve just found a Gem.
Nikons new P-223 looks to be a good entry level scope for SR.
-Fixed 3x
-Target turrets
- 11oz weight
- 8in length
- Ballistic reticle
- Avallable down south for $150

I don't know if we can get them yet but I think I'd rather buy the Nikon than a nockoff Elcan for my Ruger 10/22.

Are you planning on shooting Service Rifle with a 10/22?

Sorry sometimes I forget to be specific. I said the scope might be good as an entry level for SR. I should have said that one of my Service Rifle AR's has a Burris 2x7 Tac11 and the other has a Hi-lux CMR.
I can't afford expensive scopes, but I do have a little experience in the game. I use a .22 for practice and this scope looks like it would work in that application as well on my 10/22.
If there was enough time in the month SR with a .22 would be fun :)

Okay, thanks. That last sentence of your original post had me confused.

Thank for pitching in Flecker, very helpful :) . You have thrown down the gauntlet and I accept. I will see YOU next week, punky punk :ar15: w:h:

Brian, please for the sake of the childeren stay away from the cabbage, ya gassy critter.

How is your current scope working out. Are you getting good zeros out to the limit of your range with your NEA? How is it grouping? :p

(Yes, I did go there LOL)

Hey, just because I don't have a barrel doesn't mean i can't weigh in on an optics discussion.
