SR15/25 upper receivers forged?

Does KAC mill its own upper receivers? And do they use forgings?

YES they mill their own, they use cerro forge for the sr15 upper.

sr25 is billet i believe from what i read on a magazine years ago.

SR25 receiver starts life as an extrusion tube.

SR25 is a forging, as are the SR15's

You will see the very clear Cerro Forge keyhole on our uppers.

We used to make SR25uppers out of extrusion in the 80's and 90's, but since 2000 they have been forged.

You can tell the extruded versus forged SR-25 uppers by the fact the extruded ones have the bolt on shell defelctors, while the forged uppers have the she'l deflector built in.
