Hi Gun Nuts,
Hope this question has not been answered already but my Ruger sr10/22 has a plastic block between the barrel and fore stock/front grip. It holds the grip off center noticably-question -what happens if I take this out. Does the barrel depend on this for strength??

Also wondering about modifying a 10/22 to look like a Tommy Gun, it just look fun!! I have read you used to be able to get kits but maybe not anymore. Can I do it myself assuming I dont mod the basic rifle? Anyone know if this is allowable or who to ask?

Thanks

Haha. Yep, been answered a million times! But fair enough, you're new here. Removing the barrel support block will not have a negative impact, in fact you will likely experience better accuracy with a free floating barrel.
