It seem that I should pay better attention on disassemble.....I lost the barrel support block for my Sr22.

Any ideas where I can get one for the standard .750 barrel? I know Dlask has the .920 block but that is different.

Mine threw the barrel out of alignment with the handguard, so I removed it. You don't need it, IMO.

I plan on threading the barrel for a comp. and an cocerned about any extra weight.

I e-mailed the canadian rep and the reply was to order a whole new front hand guard at $145.00

Seem pricey for just a support block needed.

Barrel Support BSR16700 is the serial number for the support block, but as stated you dont need it I have a 18" .920 with a 6" fake suppressor on my sr22 and no support block its fine

There are some that say "it is there for a reason", and then there are those who say "you don't need it"

Reason being, the standard 10/22 receiver has weak side strength and the is what ends up bowing out and causing the hump in the receiver. Now I can see this being a problem with the heavy .920 barrels and any attachments that cause the rifle to be front heavy. Now I for one, left mine in when I had my SR22 in the AR Nordic shell, after all ... why take the risk of being wrong and wrecking my receiver? Now that I have my SR22 in a Boyds stock, I use a pressure pad to give it some support.

YMMV ... but I for one, feel that it is there for a reason.

;)

You can get bedding kits from Rimfiresports. But you can make your own as well. I used a thin rubber (1"x1.5"x1/8" thick) pad and doublesided tape to hold it in place.

But sorry to say, this won't work with the standard SR22 ... you need a pillar post or block of some sort to span the space between the forearm tube and the barrel.
