The SR22 and the Wildcat are close in price (getting tax money back.... need to spend!). I am a huge Ruger fan boy, but don't know much about the Pietta Wildcat..... I like that it comes with a 50 rnd drum :)cool:).... checked out Youtube, etc. Both seem good.

Which one do I choose??? :runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway: Pros/cons of both??

Thanks.

I would go with the SR-22, but I'm bias as I own one.

the PPS looks cool, but it's not nearly as project friendly as the SR-22, which being a skinned 10/22, can literally have ever part changed out for better or altered into so many different AR styled configurations, you would have nothing but a lot of fun.

or course, the PPS is very retro and you'll always look badass shooting it from the hip. ;)

I own both and if I had to do it over, I would have stuck with the SR22. The PPS will only cycle stingers and the metal 50rd drum mags are ####.
If you can find them, and I can't remember where I did, get the 30rd magazines.
That being said, both are fun to shoot but you can't beat a pimped up 10/22.

The sr 22 for sure , it will fire anything you put in it and as stated above there's tons of after market support . The pietta is a fun gun but there's lots of teething problems and takes awhile to sort this gun out , it only seems to like the expensive ammo with a high fps but this takes a toll on the spring assembly ( which had to be replaced ) .

Own both, both shoot very well. Having said that, the ergonomics favor the SR22 and the aftermarket supprt the SR22.

Where in South Alberta are you? Im in Medicine Hat and dont mind letting you "test drive" both rifles :D

I'm near Lethbridge. I called around to Section 8 and Wholesale for there opinions on both guns (both dealers sell them). The Pietta is a good gun, the drum mag is "junk"... go with the 30 rnd stick. The Ruger is a Ruger..... lots of options....

I'm leaning towards the Ruger SR22......
