SR22 Owners...Question for ya.

With the stock collapsed...
Front of the handguard, to the rear of the Stock: 26" 1/8
The tip of the barrel to the rear of the Stock: 30" 15/16 (Overall collapsed length)
From the rifle side of the stock lock nut to the rear of the Stock: 7" 1/8 (Length of stock)
The Difference between the fixed stock and the collapsed stock length is: 2" 3/4 (Overall length change)

Also, the stock barrel is semi-heavy and shoots really well. I was thinking of replacing mine until I spent some time with it, and I now I am more than happy with the stock barrel.

I agree. I think time and resources would be better spent on a better trigger.

Sorry not to side track but the stock on my gun will not adjust. It looks like it should adjust. The lever you push has no spring to it. Can this be changed?

The U.S. State Department will not allow export of rifles with collapsible stocks. Boo. As a result, the SR22 can only be exported from the U.S. with a modified fixed stock. If you want a collapsible stock, you will have to replace the one that came on the rifle.

hey is the stock barrel threaded?? i see that there are two versions on ruger's website one with a the flash hider, the other which i see sold here in canad without the flash hider, just wondering if the canadian version will accept a flash hider?

No it isn't threaded, unfortunately. Same US export restrictions that prohibit the export of guns with collapsible stocks... But any competent gunsmith can thread it for you for not a whole lot of money.

The US Govt. has had a change of heart and this last shipment (now in stock) came with Ruger factory collapsible stocks (6 position) however the barrels are still without flash hiders or threads. Please note future Canadian shipments may revert back to pinned stocks as there may not be sufficient collapsible stocks to supply the US market for a while (info from my distributor). Guns are still $550. Phil.
