sr22 size vs ar15

Hi all
a friend of mine came and saw my sr22 and joked that it looked like a toy and that a real 1 must be bigger. I would imagine since the canadian model has no flash hider on it..it is a couple inches short, but i thought other than that they would be close since the standard ar stocks etc. are supposed to fit?

I think the side profile on the AR is deeper. Other than that the stocks and grips are the same. I don't know about weight.

A tried a friends Colt C8-CQB once, the Ruger is heavier ... but the C8 felt like a cheap toy compared to my SR22
