I am a little behind the curve but I just some some Lapua .308 Palma brass with small rifle pockets.

1) Can this brass be used in a regular 308 hunting rifle ?
2) Can you use the same hunting loads with only the different primer ?

Reason: LRP's are scarce as hens teeth so if I can shoot my .308 with the SRP brass that would be great as I have a good supply of those.

Thanks in advance

Wise idea to use CCI 450's. Ball powder could potentially be an issue in colder temps. About 20 years ago, I scored some URBR basic brass and loaded .260 rem for my silhouette heavy gun. I was using H414 and the hangfires with 205 made for some very good offhand practice.

Here is what I have read: Went and purchased a few more boxes of 7-08 brass to compliment the 200 I already have. Already almost non existent in Canada, but I found some.

I think Starline is still making the 308 SM brass, so there is that.

Most of the 15 are pretty niche, but there are a few that are going to hurt some people.

Lapua is currently limiting those chambers due to demands overseas.

If you are going to run SRP Lapua brass (or any other brand), CCI450 is the goto. if looking at another brand, you need the hottest they make.

Testing them in various temps, I can tell you that tuning goes for a dump when temps drop (using Varget). I run this for my summer loads in FTR. I will run LRP in the cold
