SS bolt or SS semi?

There are A lot of options out there but it really depends how much you are willing to pay and what exactly you are going to be using it for. For plinking and hunting the semis can be fun while when at the range I would pick the bolt action.

For a bolt, the CZ style with the nickle plated (unfortunately not stainless) is a great choice and has been extremely good for me. For a semi the Ruger 10/22 is a good choice with such a wide variety of accessories for it (such as stainless match barrel, ect).

I have a rem bolt that I will not sell.,a couple brunos and a 10-22. I have a few others but they really dont count. a good bolt is always a joy. U dont burn as much ammo but a good hit is more pleasure.Lots of guys refuse to pay much for a 22 that they may shoot 1000+ shells a year with, but will drop a grand on a deer rifle they shoot only a hundred times of less.buy well and be happy.

Well the 10/22 is just available in .22lr. The Savage 93FVSS is available in just .22mag. If you are going to be target shooting, a 10/22 with an aftermarket barrel such as GM can be extrmely accurate and a lot of fun; the stock barrels on them are preatty bad - very inaccurate.

For hunting the .22mags are quite good (hunting larger small game like Varmints) but for target practice the .22lr would probably be more accurate and would cost less money.

So decide what you are going to be using it for and base your decison on that ;)
