Mostly hunt mule deer wonder if anyone used this bullet on game heard they blow up good and leave a mess ? but its the only round groups best out my rifle load is a 150 grain sst 30-06 calibre .

You'll be fine on mule deer, one fellow in our hunting party only shoot 150g SST reloads, Usually takes his deer around the 300 yard mark if that helps at all. he has hit the front shoulder a few times and they do open the animal up fairly good
Have used 165 grains (30/06) on prairie mules a few times and found it works well. I have only placed the shots behind the shoulder - heart lung area but it seems to open up quicker than the 165 grain inter bond that I normally use. The SST gives fairly consistent smallish groups out of my 06. On deer sized game it works well. I think the inter bond is better for moose and elk however.
