Sta Barbara rifles

My grandfather just gave his old 308, on the barrel it says " Sta Barbara Spain Model 1000" any info on this rifle would be nice.

It's a Santa Barbara made in La Coruna. Parker Hale among others used these actions.

There was a batch of these Mauser actionned sporters imported years ago and sold as rifles and as finish it yourself kits.

I have one, its a Parker Hale in 308 norma. It shoots into 1" with 200 gr nosler handloads. Very underated rifle in my opinion.

Yep I used to have the same rifle, 1"with 200g partitions, and with 180g Interlocks you could have used it as a benchrest rig, amazing groups.

IIRC, Santa Barbara used old FN patterns and machine, just like Zastava of Yugoslavia/Serbia.
