Stable tripod

Hi folks,
Looking for a very stable , full-size tripod for my spotting scope. It spends most of it's life in my living room pointed at the mountains, it's a Vortex 20-60x80, and the cheap tripod I have now is almost unusable, you have to sneek up on it and not touch or breathe on it in any way, and as long as you're between heartbeats, you can sometimes see through it,- very shaky and unstable.

Look at the bogen/manfrotto line.kinda pricey,but VERY stable,and tough.

The Manfrotto is really good, but another to check out is the new Vortex tripod, it seems very well made and a fair bit less $ than I paid for my Manfrotto, just not as many options in heads.

Yes we can but check out Vortex Summit XLT too. It IS sturdy!

London Drugs - Velbon Sherpa. A few different styles. I use one and really like it. Solid and stable. Around $100 onsale.

Monfranto is also great and you can compare then in the same store.
