Here's mine. Has a magpul bipod on it now.

Which receiver extension tube is that? It reminds me of that SI one, the castle nut is different though

Forgot to mentioned , so far was only able to shoot about 200 rounds for zeroing and test function.
The Federal 168 Gold Match with SMK printed sub moa, same with Hornady 168 Match. PMC 147 Bronze was not really bad considering the cost , 1.2” average, hopefully when the range opens again I can try the Federal SMK 175 . Criterion website states their barrel are optimized for heavier bullets. With the accuracy potential of the rifle now I’m tempted to get a higher mag scope, maan it never stops., gun runs 100% .

Have you tried Hornady Black in yours? I haven't tried any match ammo yet, but it loves that Hornady 168 grain.
No, only tried those 3 for now, factory match are little bit pricey, at least for now I know that it shoots great with 168, will have bench mark when start reloading.

I have the 20” SS nitride 308 Criterion barrel on mine. With the 1:11.25 twist. I test fired it at 50 yards during the fall. With 175 smk 43.4 varget it shot one bullet hole. 100 yard range was full but previously when my AR10 rifles shoot one clean bullet hole for 5 rounds at 50, you are looking at a .5 moa rifle at 100 for 5 rounds. The barrel looks to be comparable to my Lothar walther barreled AR10 rifles. Need to shoot it at 100 but looks very promising.

I have a nitride slr adjustable gas block and AAC brakeout 2.0 muzzle device. Very smooth shooter. Only fired 20 rounds for function and to sight in. No failures or concerns. Looks promising. Stock trigger was even good. I did the para cord trick for a few hours on the trigger. I will be leaving the stock trigger in. It’s good and doesn’t need replacing.

Very happy with the Stag 10. Quality AR308 rifle.

The OP did well getting a criterion barrel. With the Stag in 308 you really need to build your own or replace the barrel if you want a 308 sub .5 moa rifle without having to reload. With the stock 18.6” barrels and 1:10 twist you likely won’t do well with Federal gold. I would suggest loading to 44 varget 168 or 175 with those barrels (reload at own risk). Even then aim for .75 moa. Or just get a stock 6.5 with longer barrel. That’s the easiest way to get a .5 moa AR308 with off the shelf ammo.

No regrets so far with putting together a Stag10.

Maybe its just me, but always loved reloading my own ammo, always get better results and gives me flexibility, will try the Fed. 175 SMK soon,.. but so far so good with the 168

I don’t mind reloading. But I like having the option of being able to put off the shelf match ammo in my rifles and have them shoot sub .5 moa.

I have a lot of 308 rifles including AR10/308. When reloading I like having one round for all of them rather than catering to each individual rifle. My goto specs to accomplish this are 20-24” 1:11.25 twist. My 5R milspec rifles, Cadex, Armalite AR10 rifles, LMT MWS and KAC SR25 all follow that criteria. Less variables. That 175 SMK 43.4 varget is my common reload round for all of those rifles. Shoots like a tailored round but I can load the one recipe for all of those rifles.

Off the shelf match ammo that shoots well in those rifles includes 168/175 federal gold, black hills 168/175, Lapua 167 and Hornady steel match 155.

My Stag 10 build fits into the above criteria and role as those others. Only it’s non restricted and built to a level that matches the restricted AR308 rifles.

More info, the Magpul mag with full capacity of 5 rounds works but will not seat( close bolt) on 5 rounds, will check later if can trim the follower( foot) for a little room to compress, guess AEast pinned to exactly 5 rounds, with the Duramag XCR pistol mags, 9 rounds to a close bolt otherwise 10 max is good with open action, unfortunately no more room to trim the follower, happy to say both brands works perfect, Sorry for the instalments of info.
