Stag 10 with JP Gen 2 silent capture spring

I have a Stag 10 that came with a Palmetto PA-10 buffer tube.
I have tried to install the JP Gun 2 Silent Capture Spring but it sits approx 5/8" too deep.
Are buffer tubes a standard length?
Does anyone have any experience with this combination?
I could cut the nylon spacer that comes with the capture spring to the proper length but im surprised this is required as it is never mentioned as an option

The PA-10 is longer to allow the use of 308 carbine buffer systems (from Palmettos website).

Modify the rifle spacer is what JP’s website says.

The JP system is designed to work with standard carbine receiver extensions or standard rifle receiver extensions with the delrin spacer. Like the previous post said, you could modify the spacer or get a standard carbine length receiver extension.
