After getting the ACOG TA01NSN (thanks BCBigbore) sighted in on my Stag 2R, firing 69gr SMK's at a nominal speed of around 3000fps (no chrony lol) I'm proud to report that she's minute of clay pigeon out to 385m, deliberate fire, rested.

Offhand she whacks the gongs at 100, 200, 300, 385 and 500 nicely.

That ACOG is damn cool!

Soooooooo fun. Must load more ammo. Might need a pallet jack...

I have been thinking of getting an optic for mine, and was thinking of an acog. correct me if I am wrong, they have what... x3 magnification? What did you guys pay for yours?

They are made in a number of different magnifications. Mine happens to be a 4X, which I think is the most popular.

I got mine used for ~$1000.

C'mon man! Posting a report of Gucci hardware without any pictures is a terrible habit. It's like me starting a thread about big-boob babes and then trying to describing them through text.

Well OK then:

Thanks guys, I really like it.

The only changes I'm planing are a trigger job, a Vickers sling from One Shot, and maybe a different buttstock (this one rattles...)

I may change the flash hider too... this one's hella loud!

Nice gun! Glad to hear it's working well for you. I'm hoping to do up one similar for myself (ACOG and Vickers sling).

If you do decide to change up that brake, we have A2 FHers if TSE is out. The brake works great, but you're right, it's hella loud.

I will admit the break works awsome.

Virtually no movement off the sight picture on firing.

And actually, it doesn't bother ME at all, just some of the guys I shoot with, as we have a covered firing line.

Are the breaks/Flash hiders just a thread on affair? Perhaps I could get an extra, and use the break sometimes, the FH others?

Yup. That's what I do. I usually use the A2 for shooting in our covered firing point. When we get some IPSC Carbine matches going here, I'll be using the brake and take advantage of the fast follow ups. (VZ Shooters Beware! :D)

Shooting with the brake and a powerful scope is pretty neat, I can pretty much watch the hole appear on the paper in the centre of my reticle. Not as much fun for the guy sitting next to you though.

Just to add, even I know it's BRAKE, not break.

I'm sorry nomenclature police! Really I am. Now stand right beside me while I roll off a mag, would ya?
