Stag Mod 2/Lucid HD7 Range Day!

This is my first AR, so I am not qualified to give a real detailed review or range report. It is actually the first time I really shot an AR at all. My first range visit last week was cut short due to a mag issue(double feeding) but the fine folks at Arms East got me sqaured away in short order. Today she cycled flawlessly, so I am counting today as my first official range day with an AR, and I think I am hooked!

I don't know much about red dot sights so I may not have zeroed it correctly. I found the lucid tracked well and was able to walk it to
zero quite quickly once I was on paper(started at around 10 yards lol)

What I am not sure is where I should be placing the dot in my view point when setting it up if that makes any sense. I set it so the dot was sitting centered just above the front site post and seemed to work but not sure if that is correct or even if that makes any sense. Haha.

I didn't know what to expect for grouping. Definately wasn't like some of my other rifles, but not sure if that is the point of an AR. Anyway I only took it out to 50 yards as I was getting a bit more familiar with it.

All and all I had a ton of fun with this little rifle today. Everything worked great, I couldn't be happier. Next addition will be the rear back up site then a whole bunch more ammo!

Haha thanks. Like I said I have no idea what kind of grouping I should expect as I get more trigger time with it, but don't think I'll be seeing the sub MOA groups any time soon lol. Funny thing is I brought my hand guns and another rifle with me and none them made out of their cases, I was having too much fun with this! Definately hooked now:)

The sights are parallax free. You simply look through the optic and put the dot on your target. There is no need to try aligning the sights or using the front sight as a reference.
