Stag upper and Colt A2 lower

Hello All,

I have owned a Colt A2 for many years and am quite happy with it. I decided to "modernize" it by getting a flattop upper. At this point, I am leaning towards the Stag. Before I spend the money, I want to know if the receiver pivot pin sizes are compatible. Any advice or comments are appreciated.

The Colt pivot pin may be bigger (.312") than the standard .250". If so you'll need an offset pin. Measure the front pivot pin with a caliper, then you'll know for sure.

If the front pivot pin is a captured push pin...you are fine. If it is a two screw set up or one that comes all the way out you will need an off set screw, ether way the upper will work fine once properly attached.

Thanks for the info. I measured the pin and it is .312. I found a lot of US internet sites sell the offset pin. Where can I find one here in Canada, specifically in the Toronto area?
