Hey guys,

Just about to install the buffer tube on my Stag 10 lower/upper kit. It came with the rear pin in a bag filled with 2 springs, 1 pin, and the metal thing that the buffer tube bumps into.

Trouble is that the longest (skinny) spring for the take down pin is too short. It doesn’t go the length of the hole and doesn’t allow the copper pin thingy to push against to pin?

Make sense? If not, here’s a photo:

Do I need Stag to send me a longer spring? Am I missing something?

You sure that’s not the spring for the safety detent? Maybe they threw the wrong spring in the bag...

Positive. The safety detent spring is fatter and fits in the threads perfectly with the detent. This is definitely the spring that would fit here, it’s just not long enough.
Do I call Firearms Outlet (where I bought it) or Stag? Is Arms East Stag Canada?

That’s weird. Must have got a spring made at 4:59 on a Friday. Never had an issue with mine. I’d start by calling the vendor. If that doesn’t work out I’m sure ArmsEast will help you. There was a case a few months ago where someone got a rifle without any parts baggie at all and they fixed him up.
