I like the rich,deep purple black bluing. It may be less rugged but I like the looks. Don't like nickel/chrome/stainless anything.

There is no question that stainless is more durable than blued, for reasons already mentionned above.

Personnal preference is another story.

I voted stainless as more durable but cannot stand shiny guns. Love blued/parkerised guns. Even prefer my knives to be darkened. Just a personal preference.

1911s and stainless are simply beautiful. Shiny revolvers are nice too.
