in the oven at 175, or the coolest setting that it will heat up to for 20minutes, then let it airdry

This time of year, a mesh "deep fryer" basket that sit's just right in a floor heating duct.

Very cool. I was thinking about a sonic cleaner, but everyone seems to think that stainless steel media is the way to go so I guess I'll be getting this set-up.

I too was going to go stainless, but bought an ultrasonic instead. That way I can do brass and gun parts. It has cut my gun cleaning time in half, and does a lot better job than I could ever do.

So how do you guys dry your brass?

After rinsing in warm water, lay the brass across the hearth in front of the wood stove for a couple of hours.

I pat it down with some rags, this gets rid of any potential water spots, takes 30 seconds then I let it air dry on a frame I built that has cotton material stretched over it.. Put a fan on it and let it sit for a bit.

I do a final rinse in rubbing alcohol, the brass is dry in minutes without the water spots from air drying. I've been using the same 2 bottles of rubbing alcohol for over a year now.

I put a plexiglass cover on my home made tumbler because it's all I had, but I don't really look at it... I turn it on then come back 4 hours later, it's clean.
