I'm jumping the gun a little as the Marlin isn't even in the mail yet, but I'm looking to get a Weaver rail mounted on a 336SS.

I'm just wondering if stainless rails are common and readily available or should I just go with a regular aluminum rail? Where would I even get that? I've always been more on the tactical side of things and am not really familiar with hunting/sporting resources. Stainless would be nice as it would match and would avoid any disimilar metal issues, if that's even a concern.

I have a few picatinny optics laying around which I might try out and I was wondering about the viability of putting on a (also picatinny mount) Troy BUIS (typical AR aperatures) and using it with the front blade on the rifle? I'm not a fan of buckhorns and if I do go with irons I'm wondering what other options I might have.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
