I removed the PACHMAYR "mud flap" from one of my 1911's which necessitated the re-installation of a safety plunger tube. I bought the Strobel staking tool from Brownell's, watched a video on how-to use it and it worked like a hot damn!
Don't know how in hell I would have done it without the tool. Probably won't ever need it again, but it was worth it.
