Stamped on my new SOCOM's receiver:

I picked up a new Dominion Arms 'M-14' (22" barrel) last week.
The receiver is stamped

SOCOM 18 SEMI-AUTO 7.62X51 NATO
DOMINION ARMS
2013###x...

...and I'm wondering what the "18" stands for.
Was this receiver meant to have an 18.7 inch barrel, or what?
Shouldn't it read "22"...?

Likely the same receiver was used as is used in the Socom 18 rifles. They are Canada Ammo's 18.5" version of Springfield Armory's Socom 16 which denoted a 16" barrel.
