STAMPEDE at Bass Pro!!!!!!!

Am I the only one that doesn't understand why ammo prices are still rising while gas is cheap, and copper, lead, and brass prices have all fallen?

I'm glad I reload... but this is getting stupid.
 
Stupid is the price I saw WWB 180gr .40 for 50rds. I saw it at a range for $26.99 US. I also saw it for $18 or 19 US at Bass Pro in S. Carolina. Best price I saw it for was $15.99 US at Cabelas in Maine. I think I could have found it cheaper in Maine,..but did not have time to look around. I asked about bulk purchases,..but no luck. 9mm was about on par with Canadian prices. I saw rem .223 $9.99 for 20rds.
