I recently picked up a Standard Arms Co. rifle in 30 Remington. It was made around 1909 and was one of those pump/semi auto ones with the brass pump handle. Does anyone have or know where I could find some 30 Remington cartridges or brass? I'd like to take this out shooting, and maybe take a whitetail with it. Thanks.

You can usually find it at gunshows but it hasn't been loaded for many years. You could put a WTB on the EE and might come up with something. I have a .32 Rem. and they haven't been loaded for an even longer stretch. You can make .32 cases from .30 Rem cases, don't know if it works the other way around, I kinda doubt it.

I was at Lebaron's is Missisuaga about 3 months ago and they had three old boxes of the stuff on the front counter. They dug it up in the back somewhere.
It's a longshot...

Contact Epp's. Old Western Scrounger lists 150 and 170 grain ammo at $34.95US per 20. Epp's is their Canadian distributor. Ask 'em about dies and a shell holder too. Uses an RCBS #19 shell holder.
