pics are to come guys..

but this year our daily limit for mallards was 6 ( down from the usual 10 ) ..

so after a night of drinking, getting rained on while passed out next to the fire in the open, sleeping damp, wet and cold... i got up at 5 am feeling pretty sorry for myself ( not to mention hung over ) .. sauntered down to the rivers edge ..it was foggy and raining ( an unusal combination for our area ) .. and the ducks did not want to be in the air, first sight of the decoy spread with the motorised decoy and they were wings set, coming in to land
season officially opened at 6.30 am.. by 7.02 i had my limit of mallards and 9 of 10 paradise ducks .. half an hour of shooting :(

with a norinco HP9 no less :D .. my buddies who are equally as skilled with a shotgun were running their extrema 2's and a benelli m2 .. gave me plenty of stick.. before the shooting started that is

there are only limits on canada geese (20) and black swans(1) on hydro lakes and crown waterways

but there are daily limits on mallards (6), paradise ducks(10), and pukekoes(10)

mag limits are 7rounds, and no lead shot over water

the limits apply to my reigon though, it changes depending where you live

I like the "no lead over water" part. I miss lead shot:(
