Hi all !
After my first F-Class season with my budget Axis with a 12VLP barrel and laminated stock, I decided to change things a bit. Here is the old setup.

In fact, there will be 2 stocks. This one is the first, the other will go to my friend Eddycat here for his F-Class Savage.
Oh yes, almost forgot. Found a Shilen bull barrel to replace the 12vlp varmint barrel I had. First tests with 90 grains Berger gave me around 1/2 at 100 meters, so it will be good I think.

Shape of the new stock will look a lot like one of the Masterclass stock. Cheek riser will be adjustable, buttpad will move up and down and pivot (more on that later), full lenght rail in the front, but best of all, it will be in nice curly maple, finished with tung oïl to bring out the grain of the wood.
First, thanks to Eddycat. He got himself a small Taig lathe and started to work on my trigger guard, which turned out very nice. He will also work on cheek riser hardware.
Ok, pictures now. First one shows the general shape of the stock. The blue dotted line is my old stock for reference.

And here is the wood piece. It is not even sanded yet, I put a light coat of oïl just to get the idea.

To be continued !
