Anyone loading for a 1-9 factory Remington 24”
I will be feeding for a AICs mag

Thinking 69 it will be the first thing I go too.

Main goal banging steel out too 600m

I use the Hornady 75 grain BTHP Match with Varget with good results. Not sure if your AICS mags require a shorter OAL than the factory internal mag does. Couldn't get the Hornady 75 grain AMAX to stabilize.

50 or 53 gr vmax 28.5 cfe223 is a screamer, accurate in 223 rem primer gopher popper 3400fps
75 gr hpbt hornady 23.5 varget rem primer very accurate to range
like buddy said 69 hpbt with 24 grains varget, primo
62 gr hornady fmj and 23.5 imr 4895 rem primer... slow but really accurate in my gun weird one tiny hole... doing more research.
i used federal non military brass for these loads all to 2.250 ish coal.
these work very well in my remington xcr 1 in 9
work up slowly some of these are max loads or close

I can load long in aics mags.

So far it stabilizes the 75 and 77 gr bullets but it’s around 2.5” groups.

I had a few sub moa groups with the 69 sink and varget loaded long( base of boat tail to shoulders end) I am going to try a few more going up in .2 grain increments.

I have a pile of 62gr ball and I think I have some 53gr matchkings.

try 25.4 varget with CCI 450 for 62 ball. I get decent accuracy with the hornady 62 fmj in remington brass with that load.

I found 25.0 gr varget with 69 HPBT w/ cci 450 to be alright. nothing spectacular for accuracy mabe 3/4" at 100m but the rifle was a stock savage axis XP and have yet to get it shoot better than that. haven't loaded for it to much though since finding 62 fmj shoots 10 round 1 inch groups.

I was loading 69 and 77 grain Tipped Match Kings for an MDI SLR today, 20" barrel. All loads FC brass and 7-1/2 primers.

23.5gr Benchmark 69gr TMK, 2900fps
23.0gr 8208 XBR 69gr TMK, 2863fps
23.0gr 8208 XBR 77gr TMK, 2770fps

Both BM and XBR are tiny sticks and meter fantastic. The plan was to find a load that delivered the speed I wanted, but wasn't max, so I could load on a Dillon and roll through high charges without any drama.

69 SMK's and 24-25 gr Varget is money in that rifle. Crunchy but super accurate. Shot many wee bitty groups with that, I think my 5R liked 24.9 gr. If i remember correct i loaded to book specs for length, and got the best accuracy - as the rifle had the rem x-long throat.

I have been in match practice mode with my AR but so far varget and the 53gr SMK are the only thing close to constant moa.

I am going to try the 69’s again.
