Starting a new jug of powder

So in the past when I finished a jar of powder and started another of the same I noticed very little if any difference in the rifle I was shooting with. However, these were hunting rifles that I sighted in at 200 yards and that was it.

I have been using a custom barrelled rifle at the range and am now shooting over 500 yards with it and have a decent load developed. The powder I have been using is just about gone and I need to open another jug. Do I need to go through the whole development process or can I just use the same load and just adjust the scope ?

Thanks in advance for all the advice.

I never go above what is listed in the book plus no signs of being hot on what I am using. But i guess I will load a couple with less powder and test it out.

Some powders are supposedly more consistent from lot to lot. Others not so much. I would drop the charge 5% and try a few, working up to my previous load.

If your current load isn't pushing boundaries I'd make up 2 each at 1gr reduction and 1/2gr reduction to confirm all is good before loading a bunch at the old charge weight. Might save you some grief.

My experience with mid-level loads using H4350 has been that there's often enough difference to warrant running a few over the chronograph before I load large numbers with the new lot.
