3 words you must remember

FUNDAMENTAL MILITARY SKILL

actually you made the first step just asking I hate it when People come out with something like "CFSACs in two weeks lets put a team in " the big key is finding out if your CO supports it
that is the biggest step
the other is making sure you can have dedicated rifles

Pm me if you have access to DWAN and I can send you some stuff that will get you started

the tac hel sqn in toronto has there own team fyi

cheers

CFSAC kinda fall into the same time when they want to finish up IBTS.......This is the major hurdle from what I interpret.

Not when they use to hold it in August. This was the first year that it was held in the fall.

Good luck to you. I'm in a reg force infantry battallion and we didn't send a team this year. The CO thinks that the Ironman and international pace stick competitions are more important.

I have not sent that email yet as i cannot find the team website on dwan
I will pass it on to you in the new year
It has lesson plans and etc and i think it would be of great help to you

awesome, i will definately be looking through all this info very soon. we may not be up and running this year, but perhaps next. i need to gather the info to get us started.
as for ironman... yah it's important... but unfortunate that they can't support both.

In the mean time join the ORA and or the OSA and get some experience shooting these matches on your own or with a friend. That way you are taking first-hand information to the CO.

Doubt it. Had a buddy go down to the nationals (DCRA NSCC) on his own dime a few years ago. When he got there he borrowed a rifle and ammo off of the the Navy Marlant team. He won top reg force shot that year. Got marched off the field with the Naval Ensign and Jolly Roger flying behind him. If that's not embarrasing to an infantry unit than I don't know what is.

Did they congratulate him? Not really, the CO asked him if anyone else even bothered to show up. Did they start up a team so that it would be the VRI flag flying next time? Nope.

Think I might try and enter a couple of matches this year as a civie. Won't have much time to practice, but it should still be a blast.
