Starting IDPA. Southern Ontario

Hey good choice on trying idpa ..try checking idpa canada website (idpa.ca) . it lists the area coordinators that you could contact to find the closest activity to you. Oshawa area (Orono) has active club. Maybe a bit far?
if no luck on your info we an active idpa presence in Kingston and can help with contacts. Good Luck

Ok thanks. I checked out the website and saw the Oshawa and Kingston areas. Unfortunately Oshawa is about a 5 hour drive away and Kingston is at least 3. I was hoping for something more local
 
EESA shoots regular IDPA matches and the clubs in the Windsor area are very active. If you are interested in getting it started at your club, look up the contacts to assist you in getting started on the IDPA Canada web-site. If you are in the Hamilton area, Oshawa is a lot closer then Kingston. There are a few other clubs in the Durham area that are in the process of affiliating, you can also look up Sharon when the weather gets better.
 
ok thanks. I thought Oshawa was almost as far as Ottawa. Not because they sound similar just the last time i looked at a map and my memory. Im about an hour south of hamilton on Lake Erie in Dunnville

EESA would be your best bet, but if you want to make the trek, you will be welcome at all IDPA clubs. Target Sports as hosts weekly IDPA shoots on Wednesday nights starting a 7pm.
 
ODPL shoots at both Wentworth Shooting Sports Club and Hamilton Angling and Hunting Association (HAHA). Both of these are around Hamilton. www.odplonline.org is the ODPL website and they are basically the same rules as IDPA. East Elgin Sportsmen's Association (EESA) looks to be the closest to you for IDPA. They are around 2hrs from Dunnville.
