I just ordered my stuff to cast my ammo for my 303 and would like some advices. Specially on the fluxing part. I read all i could find on the net but that'S the only part i have problem understanding.

Fluxing combines the tin and lead and separates the impurities.....I never remove anything(dross, dirt, skim) without fluxing first as you may be removing tin....tin is important to your mix. There are many commercial fluxes that work good and don't give off noxious fumes...I use marvellux.....some use beeswax....If you are using a bottom pour you can use a diff. approach by using something that protects the mix from oxygen....(boron oxide) ive even heard of using kitty litter !

Fluxing

Yep!
Marvelux is some great stuff; I think it is some sort of borax and it has a fusion point just a bit above the lead melt point. This makes for a kind of paste at the tin-lead mix surface that captures and holds all the impurities so you can skim them off the metal.
And it doesn't smoke and catch fire so, once you have refined metal ingots, you can cast perfectly safe under the overhead fan on the kitchen stove.
Just place a 1/2" plywood on the top of the stove to avoid contact with it.
I put such a fan in my reloading place and it makes for very comfortable casting sessions, listening to music while I play with my molds.:D
PP.

I use canola oil - about a teaspoon full by eyeball. It does smoke and it will burn, but a lot of the floating sludge seems to disolve back into the mix. That's the object, canola oil is available and cheap. Lighting it afire reduces the smoke. That's my two bits worth.
