i posted a while ago about getting a laminated thumb hole, well i got it a while ago and just got a 6500 4.5-30 "tactical", starting to look quite nice, cant wait for the weekend

it cost a bit more than some other thumbholes but the look and feel where worth the bit extra

now i have a question for people my factory VLS stock i glassed it, it it still sellable in that condition, ie will it fit ok on another 700 or will that required reglassing the stock

It is still sellable. It will work with another action of the same length and providing the feeding system is the same.

I love thumbhole stocks; yours looks very Boyd's-like (also nearly identical to Remington's XR-100 stock). They are great. I found that adding an adjustable butt plate made them an exceptionally good prone stock too.

i think they are the same stock basically there is a note at the bottom of the page for the stock about Remington Lexington and S&K gunstocks

i used daves sport shop and us exporter, link is the banner cost a bit more, but it was worth it
