Static, Varget And The RCBS Chargemaster Combo

Hey all.

Finally tried my RCBS Chargemaster combo. When emptying the thing after use, I had Varget sticking to the inside of the hopper area and resevoir.

How/what can be done to prevent this?

Wipe it with a dryer sheet.

I usually use a rubberband to hold used dryer sheets to the outside of my plastic powder dispensers. My powder throw, and all my progressive loaders (they all have plastic powder hoppers).

I was just wiping it down from time to time, but I think the rubber band idea is a little better. It could just be my imagination, but I think I am getting 'more' accurate throws with my powder throw.

Rub with the dryer sheet as directed. The static will dissipate after some good usage and only the odd kernel will stick now and again and there will be no need for the dryer sheet after awhile.

I use a sharpie/pen to tap the sides of the hopper to dislocate the the stuck powder if there is any.

I guess that's why they give you that long brush with the Chargemaster.
