Usually getting a STATT issued is easy, especially for Albertans. Process usually involves making your call, providing match details (which is usually confirmed by the lady on the other end), supplying hotel details and dates, and receiving the STATT 10 minutes later via email.
Well it seems something has changed.
With upcoming SK and BC Provincials I called to arrange the usual STATTs. This time I spoke with someone that seemed new. They weren't aware of the matches, I had to talk them through the process, I was asked strange questions like "Will you be there for the entire match?". And then my STATT didn't arrive.
I repeated this process 3 times. On the third attempt I was requested to put all the details in writing and submit an email, which I did. A day later and still no STATT. I have just got off the phone for the fourth time. Apparently they have my email, and are "working on it".
This is very odd behavior, given my past experience. Is this office going through major changes?
