Where do the cap and ball revolvers fall, restricted or non? Im guessing restricted but what about the single shot flintlock/caplock pistols? Any difference there. Last I heard flintlock rifles were still exempt from registration but caplock rifles had to be registered would the pistols follow the same rules? Any difference on wether it is original i.e. genuine antique or if it is of later manufacture? Anybody care to educate me?

I'm pretty sure they're restricted like other handguns...at least that's was I was told by a guy who shoots blackpowder pistols...

not sure about flintlocks...

Flintlock pistol, and percussion cap are restricted class, and have all the same mandate as any pistol with storage and transportation, and licensing
Flintlock long guns are not needed to be registered, same as a true antique

Hope this helps a bit

replica cap and ball are restricted. I have one

I believe that true original pre-1898 c&b are not restricted, but still considered firearms for legal reasons. Like pointing at someone, you will be charged.

Not sure about flinters.

Ok im back. Thanks guys for the responses, i suspected as much. Since if there was some type of "loop hole" in respect to blackpowder im sure guys would be all over it :). In respect to originals, if it is true that they may not be restricted it would probably be pretty hypothetical as to my knowledge they are pretty rare in a good shooting condition. Again thanks.
