Probably the dumbest question but is there any use for spent steel cased 7.62x39 from non-corrosive loads?

I do not expect that Berdan primers are easy to find but has anyone found a use for these cases?

I am speaking specifically to Barnaul and Norinco Non-Corrosive.

Thanks

Some bernaul/wolf are boxer primed steel but best for arts and crafts or the scrap pile. I like using steel casings for arrow blunts and I make powder measures from them too.

Cut just below the neck they fit an 11/32 shaft perfectly, weight about 125 grains and do indeed make an excellent blunt tip. I also make powder measures from them, cut the point off a nail and solder it to the case.

I would say that steel cases are no further use after firing. However they can still be reused and reloaded same way as brass cases. There are plenty of Yutube videos on that.

The other question is does it make sense to go through that process where brass cases are available? Again steel cases are cheap and they deteriorate fast on the ground after firing unlike the brass that can take longer to disappear.
So if in the future if correct berdan primers become available it may make sense to keep some steel cases to reload, but in the main time boxer primed brass cases are the way to go.

This was my exact feeling, if they were boxer then I could reload but at this point with thousands of cases and 300 brass cases to reload it seems like a complete waste to have them occupy space.
