It's that time of year again, to hear the sound of ringing steel.

WRAS is hosting its annual two day Steel Challange at Spruce Grove Gun Club.

The "plan" is to shoot all 8 stages both Saturday and Sunday, but like anything these "plans" are very fluid.

I believe you can shoot rimfire rifles, unless range restrictions do not allow it. Sam, Tex? can you clarify?

Here is something I just posted on wild rose facebook

Wild West is giving away a Mossberg AR style 22 at Steel Challenge this weekend. Anybody can win it (except me) and I'll give Sam an envelope with instructions at the start of the match. He can't open it until the match is over.

Here are two hints for you that seem to contradict themselves.

Hint 1: Will be based on a single run on a specific stage.
Hint 2: It will reward consistency.

Have fun trying to figure that out haha!

It's going to be a pile of fun anyway. A chance to win a gun is always sweet.
 
Emailed my app and payment. Looking forward to this. Any idea how many have signed up so far? What time do we start on Sunday? Range is open at 11. Do we still show up at 8?
 
Yay, finally Steel Challenge time again. I have not shot a SC match for almost a week now, getting itchy!! Make sure you come out if you can, going to be a lot of shooting and a lot of fun!

3 gun is the same, but with 2 more guns and 3 times the fun! LOL

Come out for one of those, even if you don't have all the gear. Bring ammo, and someone will let you run theirs.
 
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped set up the shoot last weekend. It was a hoot to shoot and challenging to boot. A lot of work goes to making these matches and the silent majority appreciates the efforts.
And a special thanks to Ken at Wild West for sponsoring the Mossberg rifle I happened to win (dunno how I beat some of you guys!).
