How come there are not more of these in IPSC? I was at one this past weekend and it was a tremendously good time. Easy to score (added times and minus any misses)

metal was painted between competitors so hits were very visible.

It's not IPSC- no power factor recognition - It's steel challenge.

Of course, it doesn't have to be IPSC - it can just be another fun shooting sport like IDPA, Bianchi, Cowboy, Tac matches, etc.:D

AHHHHHH (!), I forgot it was Steel Challenge, not IPSC steel challenge... ;)

fun though:ar15:

Regardless of IPSC or anything else....we need to have more of these. That sound of Lead on Steel is the factor which, IMO, brings people back time after time.

Great way to spend a day!!!!

too bad our club doesn't have the metal that Dalhousie does, we could have a match in Cape Pele'! i think we could do 5 stages >?, maybe 6?

Ever handle a full house steel challenge gun?

I did once - Matt McLearn brought one to shoot the shoot off at the 92 North Americans at Sharon in Richmond Hill, ON. This was in the heyday of the steel challenge in the US.

Picture a 1911 single stack race gun with more holes in the slide than a brick of Swiss cheese. I've never held a gun so light, even today with titanium comps and less PF required for IPSC.

It was all built to go from target to target lightning fast and shoot 9mm downloaded severely. (like a 100 PF or something...)

Cool stuff...

Not sure who was swearing, but NB doesn't require shrouds for the metal....crazy eh?; next thing you know they will allow us diagonal movement on a range!!
